Trade Mission: Women Entrepreneurs Suriname

Due to the success of 2016, The Women Entrepreneurs Netherlands (https://womennetherlands.com) are again organizing a trade mission to Suriname from 28 January 2020 to 31 January 2020 for women entrepreneurs from the Netherlands and Belgium.

Doing Business in Suriname

Do you want to do successful business in Suriname? Then knowledge of the Surinamese market is indispensable. In that way you can see the business opportunities for your product.

Strengths of the Surinamese market are:

  • Presence of raw materials such as oil, gold and wood
  • Opportunities, especially in the field of means of transport, ICT products, agricultural equipment and machines, processed food and building materials
  • Favorable tax system
  • Membership of the Caribbean trade bloc Caricom. In this single market there are fewer restrictions on the movement of goods, services, people, capital and technology. The potential market is therefore almost as large as the Dutch market.

Specific Business Opportunities

During this trip we will present the following specific business opportunities, you might want to consider to invest in or partner with:

  • Rice Production - Agriculture
  • Insect Farming - Agriculture
  • Eco Resort - Tourism
  • Health Resort Coronie - Tourism
  • Sillicon Wafer Manufacturing - High Tech
  • Call Center - ICT

Do you want to setup a subsidiary or increase your export opportunities? Then join us on this trade mission especially for female entrepreneurs. (p.s. We do not exclude men, but realize that you are in the minority).
